I just recently found out about a website called Juicy campus. It is a gossip website for your university. I found this website to be extremely disturbing because not only are the posts anonymous, they can be very hurtful. I know many nice people who have had things written about them on this website.
This website has an immense number of followers and people go onto the website daily. The sad thing is that they actually believe the stuff they read. Many of these posts are written by people who dont even know the people they are writing about.
I think this website at the least should not be anonymous. If someone is too scared to write something about someone with their name attached to it, then they shouldnt be writing the comment at all.
The things said about people on this website can be very hurtful. Please try to ignore the comments on this website and even though it can be enticing, please try to stay away from this website because the more viewers the longer the website will function.

Sounds like a Facebook page should be set up to slam the site. These kinds of sites are rife with slander and visciousness. Unfortunately, I hear that students do this to their teachers, too, on rating websites, as revenge for anything less than an A. I'm too nervous to even venture onto those sites because I get hurt too easily, as do many other old curmudgeons in the teaching field. Everybody's human, and everybody gets hurt when people post slander just to create meanness. I hope people listen to your plea!
I browsed through this site after reading your post. It's such a waste of web space... Sheesh. All these attacks on fraternities and sororities (as well as individuals) are meaningless. Honestly, years from now, none of that will matter. It's like those pseudo-motivational posters that were plastered all over high schools: Thirty years from now, it won't matter what clothes you wore, how your hair looked, etc. People are just too hell-bent on the present. They attack others just to make up for their own insecurities and inadequacies. How trite.
I find this website absolutely appalling. The things that are said on this website are some of the meanest things I have ever heard. I think the people that write on these websites are envious and cowardice. They insult and criticize all these people when they probably do not even know them. They are jealous in some way of what they have and are too scared to admit their jealousy. And for some reason they feel the need to bring them down. The reality of this is that none of this would happen if the website wasn’t anonymous. Having a “mask,” allows people to say things they normally wouldn’t. This however, has been proven to be very dangerous. I wish this site could somehow be shut down, it is bringing nothing but hurtfulness to the campuses it affects.
